Question 1Core Machine Learning and AI Knowledge

An associate evaluates a visual question-answering pipeline on a benchmark of 600 images with five questions about each image, 3,000 questions in total. Accuracy is 71%. The associate computes a 95% confidence interval by bootstrap resampling the 3,000 question-level scores and gets a narrow interval. A reviewer notes that questions about the same image tend to be answered right or wrong together. How should the interval be computed instead?

  1. A.

Keep resampling individual questions, since 3,000 separate scores are plenty for the bootstrap to give an accurate interval

  2. B.

Resample whole images with all five of their questions in each bootstrap draw, then recompute accuracy per draw

  3. C.

Replace the bootstrap with a normal-approximation interval computed from the 3,000 question-level scores

  4. D.

Raise the number of bootstrap iterations from 10,000 to 100,000 so that the interval becomes more accurate

Answer: B

When scores are correlated within images, bootstrap the images, not the individual questions.

  • A. More questions do not help when they are not independent; question-level resampling treats 3,000 correlated scores as 3,000 separate pieces of evidence.
  • B. Resampling the image, the unit that makes answers correlated, carries the within-image dependence into every draw, so the interval reflects it.
  • C. A normal approximation on question-level scores makes the same independence assumption, so it is just as narrow.
  • D. More iterations reduce Monte Carlo noise in the bootstrap itself but do not change what is being resampled, so the bias stays.

NCA-GENM practice — frequently asked questions

Are these real NCA-GENM exam questions?

No. Every question on CertifyAIx is original, written by us against NVIDIA's publicly available NCA-GENM exam guide to rehearse the skills it lists. None are actual exam questions, and CertifyAIx is not affiliated with or endorsed by NVIDIA.

How many NCA-GENM practice questions are there?

532 practice questions, including 3 full-length timed mock exams and 53 domain papers of up to 25 questions (mixed and by topic). Every question has a detailed explanation of why the right answer wins and why each distractor loses.

Is the content up to date with the current NCA-GENM exam guide?

The questions are written against the NCA-GENM exam guide dated APR25 (PDF revision 3838850), and we revise them when NVIDIA updates the guide.

What question formats are covered?

The same formats the real NCA-GENM uses: Multiple choice. Each is rendered and graded the way the exam does it.

How long is the NCA-GENM exam and how many questions does it have?

According to NVIDIA's published exam details: 50–60 questions, 60 minutes, passing score Pass/fail — NVIDIA does not publish a score. Our mock exams use the same time limit, with a question count in the middle of that range. Always confirm current details with NVIDIA before booking.

Can I practise NCA-GENM for free?

Yes. 3 papers are free, with up to 10 questions a day on the free plan and no card needed. Pro unlocks every paper and mock exam with no daily limit.

Does CertifyAIx guarantee that I will pass?

No practice material can guarantee a result. CertifyAIx helps you find and close your weak areas — accuracy by exam-guide domain and topic shows what to study next.
